Adoption support

After Adoption is a national helpline for young people with a connection to adoption. They provide post adoption counselling, support, advice and information. You can contact them on 0800 0 568 578.

The UK Adoption Register has some information on your rights as an adopted person - so, for example, when you are 18 you can apply for a copy of your original birth certificate.

You can also follow the links to the Looked After Children/Leaving Care section of this website.

relationships_09You can use the library in your Connexions Centre too as it has information for you to read or take away. You could also go to Relationships Weblinx for more useful websites.
