Information about mental health and well-being

Most of people experience a few ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ in their lives like feeling happy, feeling sad and miserable. You might be worried

  • because you’ve got exams coming up
  • about getting a job
  • about going to college.

These can all make you feel down; as can

  • falling out with your friends or family
  • finishing a relationship.

You might feel stressed or depressed; it’s quite common, and usually the feelings will come and go. Sometimes though you might not be able to shake off your feelings so you should talk to someone you feel that you can trust – friends, parents, your Personal Adviser or your GP as you might have a medical condition that needs some treatment.
