There are lots of voluntary activities that you could do from the informal – helping at home, shopping for a neighbour to getting involved with organised voluntary projects in your area.
Anyone can consider volunteering. Opportunities are for different lengths of time; some will require you to have some previous experience or skills whilst others give you the chance to join without any experience.
Volunteering would give you the chance to gain experience, confidence and skills. Being able to put that you are a Volunteer on your CV can also help when you apply for college or university or for a job.
There are opportunities locally, nationally and overseas. Here are some organisations that could start you off:
Salford Volunteer Bureau

are examples of other organisations that offer opportunities to volunteers, so are also worth considering.
